GIFT CARDS

Please be aware: when purchasing a gift card, the act of printing address envelopes is automated - please ensure you correctly add the delivery name and address as you would want it to be shown on the envelope. The details are printed EXACTLY as you input. Please pay special attention to postcodes - an incorrect postcode may mean your purchase does not arrive.

We have updated our Postage rates from May 2024 onwards, reflecting the latest price rises from Royal Mail. We offer two shipping options:

  • Royal Mail First Class at £2.00 per two gift cards. - this shipping option does not come with any tracking information
  • Royal Mail Signed For First Class at £3.50 per two gift cards. - this shipping option comes with full tracking, and the delivery is signed for upon receipt. We do not send you the tracking number but can locate your order if it appears to be missing in the mail.

Our postage rates are above Royal Mail standard rates - we pack all orders in reinforced cardboard envelopes, and each Gift Card is packed in it's own Kraft paper envelope with tie-string. The additional postage charge helps us to offset these packaging costs, and we make an overall loss on each card shipped in order to keep your costs down.

Online Gift Card orders are despatched every Monday and Thursday. Please also note that your confirmation email will state "Orpheus Bristol" - this is because we mail out all orders from our Bristol venue - your Gift Card can be used in any Scott Cinemas venue.

BUYING A CARD

E-Gift Cards are now available for instant delivery by email.

You can purchase a card in any Scott Cinemas venue, online using the options above, or by calling the telephone number below.

At the cinema, the cashier will swipe the card when selling it to you, and load it with the amount you require - the minimum value is £5.00, but there's no maximum, and you can have any value that you choose.

If purchasing a gift card for postal delivery,  you will receive a wallet - we have Generic & Christmas style cards available - and envelope with the card. Within the wallet, there's space to write a message if the Gift Card is to be used as a present.

When you purchase a card online, your confirmation payment receipt will show as "Bristol Orpheus" - this is because we process all sales from a single location, but your Gift Cards can still be used in any of our Scott Cinemas venues.

If ordering a e-gift card, you'll receive this by email to your email address, or the recipient you're buying the gift card for. There are two designs of E-Gift Card available, a standard design, or a folderable design. These are available by selecting one of the two E-Gift Card options above.

CHOOSE FROM THREE WALLET DESIGNS

We have three different gift wallet designs to accompany your card. Choose from:

  • Standard - ideal for general use, such as birthdays, this wallet features gloss silver text on a DL-size card
  • Christmas Standard - a multicoloured DL-size card
  • Christmas Pink - a pink background with white Christmas Tree, on a DL-size card

Do note that the above images are optimised for display on a computer screen and don't accurately represent what you will see in print - we can't show you the lovely matt silver here!

NOT A GIFT?

You don't have to be buying this as a gift - why not set youself a monthly 'movie budget' if you're a regular visitor? You can add value to the card at any time you choose, either by asking the cashier in the cinema, or by using the link below to top up!

USING A CARD IN A CINEMA

If you're buying tickets in person at the cinema, simply present your card or e-gift card to the cashier. You can choose to pay using your whole balance (if the value of the purchase exceeds the value of the card, just pay the difference...) or you can choose to use a certain amount from the card, and save the rest for next time!

You can also use your card to purchase refreshments at the cinema.

If you've used all of your balance, why not keep hold of the card and top it up whenever you would like? You could set youself a monthly movie budget, or use it to give the kids a treat!

USING THE CARD ONLINE

You can also redeem your card when purchasing tickets on the internet. Just follow the booking process as normal and click 'Pay Using a Gift Card' as your payment choice. You will be prompted to type in the card number, and also the 4-digit PIN from the back of the card or on your e-gift card - simply scratch off the panel to find this. On your e-gift card, this will be found under the serial number and amount.

Sadly, you can't use your Gift Card to book over the telephone, and if you hold one of our older vouchers or earlier cards (without the electronic strip on the rear), you can only use these in person at the cinema.

THE SMALL PRINT - STUFF WE HAVE TO TELL YOU!

1. You can load your card with any value, but the initial minimum value when buying a card for the first time is £5.00. 2. Your card will expire 24 months after the first purchase date, unless you add value to it again. This means that you have two years to use the value thats on the card, unless you choose to add more to it - if and when you add value, the card remains active for a further 24 months from that date. 3. Finished with your card? Please dispose of it with care - it's plastic, so can go out with your household recycling, but make sure you cut the magnetic strip first. 4. Neither the card, nor our computer system, holds any of your personal data - the only info we store is the number encoded on the magnetic stripe and the current balance. 5. The physical card itself has no cash value. 6. If you lose your card, we're afraid that we can't recover the balance by any means. 7. We can't accept card numbers written down on paper - you must present the card to the cashier to exchange the held balance at the cinema. 8. We reserve the right to take out of circulation any card that we may believe has been used fraudulently. An example of fraudulent use is selling the card on internet auction sites. 9. If there is any cause for your purchase at the cinema to be refunded, the refund will be back to the Gift Card you used to purchase. Even if you have used the balance on the card, please keep hold of it for a few days. We cannot refund Gift Card balances back as cash, nor will we exchange any remaining balances on any card for cash.10. Scott Cinemas Gift cards cannot be used in WTW Cinema venues.
